Getty Goes to the Movies.

gettygalleryrocio.jpgWhat do Sean Connery, Stanley Kubrick and the Pink Panther all have in common?Aside from being three of the coolest blokes to ever come from Britain, they’re all (among many other British icons) going to be showcased at a new photography exhibition in jolly old London this summer. The Getty Images Gallery in London will be running this exhibition, which will feature all the rarest behind-the-scenes images of some of the world’s greatest stars who were filmed in England’s revered Pinewood, Shepperton and Teddington Studios from the past 50 years. If you’re somewhat of a film geek, then this is visual movie history in it’s finest form. You’ll get to see timeless shots of the one and only Charlie Chaplin directing his daughter Gerladine and a boyishly young Marlon Brandon in “The Countess of Hong Kong,” as well stills from Stanley Kubrick’s director’s chair on the set of “Dr. Strangelove.” Following it’s July 4 opening in London, the exhibition will then tour to New York in September and Los Angeles in November. We don’t have to remind you to keep the popcorn in the bucket and the cell phones off, now do we? www.gettyimagesgallery.com
