SIRIUS’ Stiletto is seriously amazing…
by Leo on May 28th, 2008
As far as portable MP3 players go, there’s very little SIRIUS’ new Stiletto 2 can’t do.
Following SIRIUS’ first Stiletto model from 2006, the new Stiletto 2 can receive and hold up to 100 hours of live SIRIUS broadcasts via both satellite and WiFi signals. You can also bookmark (or buy) your favourite songs that your heard on any satellite radio station.
It also boasts easy access to stored sports, talk and commercial-free music programming, as well as a removable microSD media slot for expanded storage of MP3 and WMA files. Did you happen to miss the name of that sweet little ditty on that classic rock channel? Fret not, you can create what’s called “Radio Replays” by storing and saving a broadcast from one of your favourite channels then pausing, rewinding, or replaying 60 minutes of missed radio time.
The modual supports 802.11 g/b networks, including username and password access to a bunch of different network accounts.
All that for $399.99, which also nets you a user-replaceable battery that can operate for four hours (live satellite), 10 hours (WiFi) and 20 hours (non-live), an AC power adaptor, a snazzy pair of Altec Lansing headphones (with ear buds), a PC cable, My SIRIUS Studio software (which you’ll need to manage all your files) - and last but nowhere near least - a vehicle kit.
