Ed Hardy’s New Fragrance for Him…
by Leo on May 26th, 2008
You’ve probably seen his rock star-inspired trucker hats, or his myriad of tattooed, laceless sneakers and thought, “I like it, but there’s no way I can pull it off.”Now there is a way you can rock Christian Audigier’s “Ed Hardy” brand without looking like Motley Crue’s long lost rhythm guitarist. This is Audigier’s new scent for men. It’s masculine and edgy with top notes of bergamot, sage, and mandarin combined with woody undertones of Sequoia and musk. It also smells enchanting. Ed Hardy by Christian Audigier is available in 50mL and 100mL bottles at all Bay department stores. www.edhardyshop.com
For the Anglophiles out there.

When the word “luxury” comes to mind, it’s hard not to think of Britain and her fastidious track record for giving us the finest of all fine things. The Jaguar. That storied Burberry plaid design. Victoria Beckham’s godly physique. The list is endless. And then there is Dunhill, perhaps England’s most renown men’s luxury brand. When it comes to leathergoods, fragrances, menswear and the most lavish writing instruments (British for “pens”) you’ve ever seen, accept no substitutes. Now the high-end British brand is invading America, setting up shop on Madison Avenue in New York City, no less. LCOR, a prolific American development company, has just signed a lease with Dunhill for 7,000 square feet of retail space at 545 Madison Avenue, Manhattan’s newest marvel of business architecture. The upscale men’s store - which had previously been situated at 711 Fifth Avenue - is expanding into two floors at the 140,000-square-foot office building on the corner of 55th street in the Plaza District, where LCOR is currently finishing a full-scale rehabilitation of the 17-story site. The new look Alfred Dunhill store will feature five-star hotel-like amenities, among other state of the art treats that you can come to expect from a name like this. The “basement” of the property will house bespoke menswear, premium leather goods and other gifts. The real treat, however, looks to be the lower level which will carry such rare showpieces as Truman Capote’s custom-made Dunhill tuxedo, worn at the famed 1966 “Black & White Ball.” There’ll also be original sketches of the bespoke suit made for old blue eyes himself - Frank Sinatra. The new locale will open it’s doors this summer. Now you’ve got a real reason to pamper yourself on your next trip to the big apple. www.dunhill.com/en
Gamers, it’s time to gear up.

If you don’t own an Xbox 360, then stop reading this. If you do, then saddle up, lock and load (and all that other wartime jazz) because Gears of War 2 is on it’s way. For those of you who couldn’t get enough of the first ultra-violent installment of this shooter, the sequel should keep those trigger-happy fingers of yours busy for hours. According to to Epic Games Design Director Cliff Bleszinski, G2 will be “bigger, better and more badass,” packed with all new alien enemies (hordes of them) to obliterate, large scale firefights with the kind of futuristic weaponry you could only dream of, grander locales to roam around in, larger vehicles (we suggest pancaking those nasty bad guys) and stunning new high definition visuals. We know, we know, this sounds amazing and you want it now. Patience, fellow gamers - you’ll have to wait till this November till this thing hits shelves. Till then, get out that air rifle and start practicing. Humanity will soon depend on it.
