Congrats to our Canadian Olympic Athletes

by Rob on August 17th, 2008

beijing2008.jpgIt was a successful weekend for Canadian athletes at the Beijing Summer Olympics: 7 medals in two days, 2 golds, 1 silver, 4 bronzes. A big hearty congrats goes out on behalf of Sharp. Because we’re a men’s magazine, a special ‘Job well done’ to the male winners: Ryan Cochrane (Men’s 1500 Freestyle), Iain Brambell, Jon Beare, Mike Lewis, Liam Parsons (Rowing: Lightweight Men’s Four), Scott Frandsen, David Calder (Rowing: Men’s Pair) and Kevin Light, Ben Rutledge, Andrew Byrnes, Jake Wetzel, Malcom Howard, Dominic Seiterle, Kyle Hamilton, Adam Kreek and Brian Price (Rowing: Men’s Eight).

Keep it up, boys. Soon we’ll have more medals than Michael Phelps.

A great weekend for our team. What intense competition at these games, what a 100 meter final. The swimming has been fantastic. The Canadian atheletes are confident that 2012 in London will be better for Canadian medals. Great job guys, keep up the good work.

Congrats to Adam van kouverden on the silver!! Hey
man, don’t be down on your performances. On that given day, you did what you could do…it is what it is. Next time you will be unafraid of the worst…cause u experienced it and went on to win the silver. I am proud of u. any sensible person would be….the rest do not matter.
    Congrats!!! Congrats!!!
