Who’s sexier? Bardot vs. Paikin vs. Witherspoon
Nothing says risque like public broadcasting. Hot. Local. Public. Broadcasting. Okay, so maybe Steve Paikin isn’t Brigitte Bardot.
But things are heating up in the world of American politics. The most important Democratic convention in over forty years is happening this weekend.
In anticipation of this momentous occasion TVO (Television Ontario) presents a week long of alternative political programming, Democracy In Action. Starting August 17th, they’ve aired awesome documentaries like Diamond Road, a three parter that explores the diamond trade as a metaphor for our interconnected society. Tuesday saw Paikin and guest dissect the Obamamania phenomenon. And last night (August 20th) they aired part two of Citizen King, a look back at the last five years of Dr. Martin Luther King’s life; essential viewing for political junkies.
Tonight they air a movie about the 2001 protests in Quebec against the Summit of the Americas, catchingly titled Free Trade Is Killing My Mother; Friday Alan Gregg chats up former California state legislator Tom Hayden, a prominent Democratic activist in the 1960s; and things wrap up on Saturday night with the airing of both The Candidate (starring sartorial hero, Robert Redford) and Election (starring Reese Witherspoon’s best performance ever): Pretty hot stuff, even for public broadcasting.

Steve Paikin for Prime Minister of Canada

I have seen Steve Paikin in his underwear. He is definitely sexier than Bardot . . . she’s even older than I am.
The only time I’ve seen Witherspoon in her underwear was on film, but she does have a tiny edge.
Steve does have a nice tuchas for a 42 tall though. He must take after his mother Marnie, his dad Larry’s bum is flat as a board.
