Chiptole Mexican Grill Opens First Resto In Canada
by Rob on August 27th, 2008
Locavores and gourmet lovers, you now have a fast food restaurant of your own.
Canada’s first Chipotle Mexican Grill opened August 15th, at 323 Yonge Street, Toronto. The famed American restaurant chain is dedicated to fresh, fast gourment food made with local and organic ingredients. Menu items range from burritos, tacos, burrito bowls and salads. Pork will be sourced from DuBreton (Quebec), their beef, Beretta Organic Farms (Ontario). 30 percent of the black and pinto beans that Chipotle will be organically grown. All for $8.
Is Canoe shaking atop the 54 floor of the TD Tower? Bartlett Lodge ordering a smaller boat to prepare for less customers to its famed shores? Not likely. They’re still in another league. But for a quick lunch break meal, Chipotle is just what we’re looking for.
