New and Improved: Sony S-Series Walkman
by Alex on August 29th, 2008
The first Sony Walkman came out in 1979, since then Sony has come out with hundreds of variations of the device (remember how happy you were when they introduced Auto-Reverse?). While so much has changed since its first incarnation, the initial idea has always been the same: your life deserves a soundtrack, and working out without music is boring. Of course we can’t pretend that ever since the iPod came out, we’ve been keeping up with the goings-on at Sony’s Walkman division. Well, they managed to grab our attention with the latest Walkman release.
We’ve definitely got our eye on the S-Series Walkman. An MP3 player which comes with noise cancelling headphones, which we think would be great for those overseas flights when you’re stuck beside an Olympic snorer who has no intention of waking up before the plane hits the tarmac. And unlike its 1979 predecessor, this Walkman is 7.5 mm thick, so it’ll fit nicely into your shirt pocket.
