The Amethyst X-1 iPod dock ($150) might look like it’s taken cues from the Italian supercar school of design, not that this is ever a bad thing, what with all the boring and uninspired docks that litter every big box store. The stylish X-1 boasts a slick cherry red design, and rich 2.1 channel sound. The kicker? The thing doesn’t only work by remote control, but also by hand signals picked up by the infrared scanner.
