![Aston Martin and Factor Bikes team up to create the ultimate in luxury cycling. By Nick Healey

Bikes and cars have always had a fairly tenuous relationship given that neither likes to share the road with the other. Surprisingly though, there are instances when they seem to get along just fine. Case in point – the Aston Martin One-77 by Factor Bikes.

This is not the first instance of cars and bikes collaborating though. Most of the European automakers have taken a stab at cycling, including Ferrari’s venture with famous Italian bicycle brand Colnago, with excellent results. But in this case, Aston Martin and Factor Bikes have teamed up and set the bar high by creating this incredible bike – which at around $40,000 does not come cheap.

Limited to 77 models, this bike’s deluxe features justify it being in its own tax bracket. Qualities like hand-stitched leather trim on the seat and handlebars, Shimano’s top end Dura-Ace components, and a built-in computer system make this bike the ultimate in cycling. And the computer is no ordinary speedometer either. The One-77’s onboard system has embedded wiring and measures some insane stats, like altitude, your crank force (how hard you pedal) and how much leg power you’re wasting. Basically, all the info that breaks down every imperfection in your cycling abilities. Not that you probably think about these things on your Sunday ride… But maybe you should?

With a carbon fibre frame, the whole thing weighs in at an insanely light 16 pounds. And given their penchant for the number seven, fitting then that Aston Martin has given the One-77 the option of – you guessed it – seven different colour schemes.

Now Aston Martin fans have a choice: drive or pedal?
