Drake Hotel – Summer Cocktails
Cool Summer Cocktails from Toronto's Hottest Hotel By Dan ProudfootThe Drake Hotel is one of my favorite Toronto hang outs. Their Sky Yard is awesome during the summer, with its great music (if you’re into reggae, definitely check out their Get Riddim Sundays) and cocktails. Already voted Best Cocktails in the City by the readers of Eye Weekly, the hotel is now introducing a slew of new summer drinks. To keep you occupied until happy hour, here’s a list of the best:
Mint Julep - The Drake’s take on the English classic is to mix Woodford Reserve Bourbon, fresh lemon and mint plus a hint of sugar.
Pegu Cocktail Named after an infamous Burmese 1920s bar, The Pegu Club, this cocktail is a combination of Tanqueray Ten Gin, Cointreau, lime juice and house grown herbs.
Drake Batida Drake bartender Simon Ho created this drink himself: blending Pitu Cachaca, fresh passion fruit pure, pineapple juice, English summer cordial, plus seasonal berries to put a Drake twist on the Brazilian classic.
