I just watched the History Channel episode that featured John Hale. When I saw his name, I searched the internet hoping to find a contact, so I could inquire as to his ancestry. To my sadness, I discovered his obituary. God rest you John Hale, and peace to your kin. My father, John Hale also served in the U.S. Army during WWII, as did I during the Vietnam era, so I wish all the WWII veterans, all veterans, and active duty service members peace and good will. God Bless you all.

Hello Kendal,
My ancestry starts in Virginia, where my great great grandfather was born. It seems he may have traveled to Tennessee, where he may have married my great great grandmother Sarah “Sally” Fawbush. They then at some time moved to Perry County, Kentucky and are shown in the 1850 census, they later moved to Magoffin County, Kentucky as shown in the 1860 census. I was born in Michigan, and my family moved throughout the Midwest, and I’m now living in Ohio.
I looked at your father’s face on the TV show trying to see if there was a family resemblance, and I think he looked a little like one of my uncles.
