By <a href=\"http://sharpformen.com/author/william-stodalka/\">William Stodalka</a><div id='nr_fo_top_of_post'></div><p><b> It’s no secret that we at <i>Sharp</i> are fans of the <i>Mad Men</i> aesthetic – the drinking, the cigarettes, the 1960s bustiers.</b> It’s only natural that someone at Brooks Brothers would think, "Hey, let’s make some of those suits just like in the show! That’ll be real nifty!" (They’ve really taken the decade to heart.) Starting today, you can order the Brooks Brothers Mad Men Edition suit <a href=\"http://www.brooksbrothers.com/madmen/madmen.tem\" onclick=\"javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://www.brooksbrothers.com']);\">online</a>.</p>
<p>This is a dark grey suit, the kind Draper and Sterling wear in the show, much like the kind Brooks Brothers sold in the early 1960s. It’s got all the trappings of the suits of that era, with narrow notch lapels, a noticeably slim cut, and diagonal pockets.</p>
<p>Jamie Bryant, <i>Mad Men</i>‘s costume designer, personally designed this suit, and the first 250 limited-edition pieces sell for about $1000. If it’s a hit, Brooks Brothers is hoping to turn this into a whole line of men’s accessories, evening gowns, and office wear. So hey, if the line catches on, does this mean we can smoke in the office again while we hit on our secretaries? That’d be swell.</p>
