![A watch as well designed as a luxury car by two former auto-makers. By <a href="http://sharpformen.com/author/william-stodalka/">William Stodalka</a><div id='nr_fo_top_of_post'></div><div><b>You may have noticed we’re sort of anglophiles over here at <i>Sharp</i>.</b> But that’s because they tend to do a great job where luxury is concerned, and Industrial North Design is no exception. Car designers Andy Shaw and Robert Silkstone are launching two new watches for the label, and we couldn’t be more impressed.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Andy and Rob have been working on these watches for two years. Based out of Leeds, "The Capital of the Northern UK," they’ve designed these watches to reflect that region’s industrial heritage. And it shows – they’re indelibly British. Each custom made Brittanic model carries the British Ministry of Information slogan "Keep Calm and Carry On." </div>
<div> </div>
<div>Their product aims to be a combination of traditional industrial processes and ultra modern precision engineering techniques. You can see complex geometric sequences, like the Fibonacci sequence and geodesic domes on the watch, making it undeniably modern. But it’s got a traditional aspect, as well – the screws used, six 10 BA’s, come from the days when Britain was still an empire. Because of all this care taken into it, it takes eight weeks to make a single watch. Only 15 of them will be made for a price of $8280. But they’re taking reservations <a href="http://industrialnorth.co.uk/" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://industrialnorth.co.uk']);">now</a>, so keep calm and carry on. </div>
