Last week, German sports car powerhouse Porsche revealed the next generation of their mid-engined Boxster and Cayman at the L.A. Auto Show. Word from the event is that both cars were not only given a horsepower boost, but significantly greater fuel efficiency than their predecessors.A newly-enlarged 2.9-litre flat-six engine fires a wicked 255 horsepower in the new Boxster (10 more than last year’s), while 265 horses gives the new Cayman a generous shot of power (20 more than last year’s).The new Boxster and Cayman will enter the Canadian market in Spring 2009, with the Boxster going for $58,400 and the Boxster S at $70,600.
