They’ve officially already done it. This is that product. Say hi to the HDR-TG1 Handycam – the world’s smallest full HD 1080i camcorder. Weighing in at a wispy 10 ounces and measuring at an elfin 1.3 x 4.7 x 2.5 inches, the HDR can capture stills at 4-megapixels and, as aforementioned, it can record 1080i (not 1080p, there’s a difference) quality film, all the while storing everything on MS Pro Duo Mark2 cards (one of which comes conveniently bundled within). You’ll also find a 10x Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar optical zoom lens, 5.1 Dolby Digital audio recording and a BIONZ processing engine. Does this mean you can now make Michael Mann-quality guerilla flicks? No, not quite. Will you be the coolest kid on the block for having one? Indubitably. The new Sony HDR-TG1 Handycam is now available for $900.00. www.sonystyle.ca
