LBJ Describes the Perfect Pair of Pants (in great detail)
LBJ teaches-by-example how to order the perfect pair of pants. By Sharp StaffWhile President Barack Obama may have brought classic style back to the White House, we may never be privy to how he selects his wardrobe. Thankfully, the same is not true for Lyndon B. Johnson. In 1964, he needed new slacks. He called the Haggar clothing company for “some of the best pants in America.” They needed a few adjustments though, and since at that time everything in the White House was recorded, we can hear all the details of that anatomically exact conversation. This is how you order pants.
Special thanks to the good people at Put This On, and animator Tawd Dorendfeld, for the amazing visuals—as if LBJ’s descriptions weren’t enough.
