Television: Californication Returns

Television: Californication Returns

There's a reason to look forward to Sunday nights: Californication. A great show accented by a lot of beautiful women. By Bryan Myers

This week marks the return of Showtime’s Californication on Showcase (Sunday at 9 PM).  While the show would be just as watchable without the array of beautiful women that Hank Moody attracts (Madeline Zima, Eva Amurri, and Natascha McElhone among countless others), we’re not really posting this because of the plot. However, if you’re interested in such things: David Duchovny plays Moody, a booze-fuelled, womanizing writer who is eerily similar to Charles Bukowksi (though easier on the eyes).  It’s hard not to feel like Duchovny’s just playing himself, not unlike Charlie Sheen in Two and A Half Men (although much less pathetic).  Season 4 just started. Future hottie Addison Timlin joins the cast, but Madeline Zima’s much more exciting.
