The iPad Gets Yet Another Competitor In The New Sony Tablet
The new Sony Tablet, due out later this fall, is attractive, portable, and easy to use. Sounds like a no-brainer. By Sadaf AhsanFingers feeling a little technologically starved lately? Not to worry, because if the iPad didn’t satisfy your tablet needs, Sony’s got you covered. The brand just debuted a pair of new tablets this week, due out later this fall.
That’s right, a pair. We’ve got the S1, the entertainment component, with a 9.4-inch widescreen display and a surprisingly attractive wedge-shaped case. If the iPad’s been looking a little too flat for you, the S1’s wedge makes up for it with an easy grip and greater portability; we’re talking hours of easy use for whatever floats your fancy (we’re not judging).
The S2, on the other hand, is more of the communicator, and sports an unorthodox clamshell shape for a tablet. Why? Well, the S2 comes fully loaded with two 5.5-inch screens; both can display different content or be used as one screen. Not to mention, they can also “throw” music and video to compatible devices through the DLNA functionality. You’ll be able to surf through videos, games and books, including PlayStation Suite. And of course, both the S1 and S2 come with WiFi, 3G/4G and run the latest Android 3.0.
