Introducing: Blind Barber Grooming Line

Introducing: Blind Barber Grooming Line

Old school products from a throwback barbershop. By Luke Hall

The recent resurgence of 1920s-style barbershops throughout North America has given men a surefire reason to ditch their hoity-toity hair salons in favour of a gentlemanly environment free from dogeared copies of US Weekly and space shuttle hair dryers. Blind Barber (with outposts in both NYC & L.A.) perfectly embodies the essence of a true barbershop experience, complete with a classic cocktail of your choice. Now, they’re venturing into new territory with a line of quality grooming products to keep your mug looking fresh and rejuvenated.

We recommend: Wild Watermint Gin Aftershave Soother ($28) — a fairly thick moisturizer and skin toner made from juniper berries, wild watermint and a variety of botanical extracts that combined make for a pleasant but not overwhelming scent. After applying this product, your skin immediately begins to feel smoother and revitalized — you might even experience a slight tingle from the mint. If you’re the type who gets a little razor-happy while shaving, you’ll greatly appreciate the soothing properties found in this moisturizer that combat and relieve razor burn.

While this aftershave  doesn’t contain any SPF (the sole drawback), it does lather well without any traces of sticky residue. The best part is there is little, if any, shine created after usage — ideal for all skin types.
