Apple’s iPhone 3G hits stores this Friday, July 11th
Oh yes, Canadian Mac addicts, after months of salivating and wondering ‘When !?’, you’ll finally get your iPhone on July...

![Oh, Canada. Don't be so modest, you look pretty good nowadays, especially when it comes to shops for us guys. By <a href="http://sharpformen.com/author/alex-grigorescu-and-david-cadiente/">Alex Grigorescu and David Cadiente</a><p>You know those under-the-radar labels we tend to feature, the ones that can be a pain in the ass to find? Yeah, we know. Don’t worry, though. We scoured the entire country for the coolest men’s boutiques you’ve never heard of. Here’s a look at the ten best men’s stores this country has to offer.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gsmen.com/" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://www.gsmen.com']);" target="_blank"><strong>Got Style</strong></a></p>
<p><strong>Where: </strong>Toronto<br />
<strong>What:</strong> Got Style is recognized as one of the best Canadian stores for men. Period. GS’s new store is divided into three lifestyles and concepts: casual, social and business. Their suits are all modern fits—shorter jackets, trimmer pants and nothing boxy or pleated—and includes brands like SAND, John Varvatos, LAB by Paul Lizeri and Got Style’s own private label, which is available in medium to large builds. They’ve also got a spa and a barbershop. You’ll never want to shop at a department store again.<br />
<strong>We Like:</strong> Moose Knuckles jackets. Oh yeah, GS’s suits are cool. But these bombers and parkas are the urban equivalent to the Arctic-centric Canada Goose brand. Think “Made in Canada” but tested on the snow-slick streets.</p>

<p><strong><a href="http://www.nomadshop.net/" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://www.nomadshop.net']);" target="_blank">Nomad</a></strong><br />
<strong><a href="http://www.nomadshop.net/" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://www.nomadshop.net']);" target="_blank"></a><span style="font-weight: normal;"><strong>Where:</strong> Toronto</span></strong><br />
<strong>What:</strong> High-end meets casual as Comme des Garcons is stocked near Canuck brand Wings + Horns and the edgy, exciting looks by Robert Geller. The store is currently expanding; they’re developing an online shop, their own house brand (starting with denim this season), and opening a new location on Queen Street West. For fall/winter 2010, walk out with one of Engineered Garments’ down vests.<br />
<strong>We Like:</strong> Wings + Horns/Dayton boots. Nomad will soon receive their final shipment of these well-worn, stylish and ready-for-anything leather bad boys. What, did you think they’d churn them out forever? “Nothing gold can stay,” man.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.nomadshop.net" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://www.nomadshop.net']);" target="_blank"><em>NomadShop.net</em></a></p>
<p><a href="http://www.shopsydneys.com/" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://www.shopsydneys.com']);" target="_blank"><strong>Sydney’s</strong></a><br />
<strong> Where</strong>: Toronto<br />
<strong> What:</strong> Following a recent fire, Sydney’s has relocated to 682 Queen St. West and the change suits them. The new space is larger and showcases their in-house brand, Kin, and a well-curated collection of conservative pieces from high-end retailers. Known for its monochromatic selection, Sydney’s refined colour palette means you can’t go wrong pairing up pieces willy-nilly. For an individual touch in both suiting and denim, stop by their bespoke shop.<br />
<strong> We like:</strong> Rick Owens’ slim-fitting cardigan, and boots by M.A+.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.shopsydneys.com/" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://www.shopsydneys.com']);" target="_blank"><em>ShopSydneys.com</em></a></p>
<p><a href="http://www.klaxonhowl.com/" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://www.klaxonhowl.com']);" target="_blank"><strong>Klaxon Howl</strong></a><br />
<strong>Where:</strong> Toronto<br />
<strong>What:</strong> The true hunter of unique sartorial pieces can quickly exhaust his options. Klaxon Howl is squirrelled away in a coach house down a hidden alley, but the place is well worth the search. It has an in-house collection of denim and chambray shirts, and also reserves a fair bit of floor space for truly one-of-a-kind vintage items that can date back to WWII (and they’re authentic, too).<br />
<strong>We like:</strong> Nautically-inspired watch hats, and Klaxon Howl’s own “One ‘O’ One” in black chambray.</p>
<p><em><a href="http://www.klaxonhowl.com/" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://www.klaxonhowl.com']);" target="_blank">KlaxonHowl.com</a></em></p>
<p><a href="http://www.boutiqueuandi.com/" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://www.boutiqueuandi.com']);" target="_blank"><em></em></a><br />
<a href="http://www.dutildenim.com" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://www.dutildenim.com']);" target="_blank"><strong>Dutil Denim</strong></a><br />
<strong>Where:</strong> Vancouver<br />
<strong>What:</strong> A perfect pair of jeans is de rigueur year-round, and dutil is a one-stop candy store for lovers of denim. After opening in 2006, dutil steadily increased their market presence and earned their reputation as a launching pad for many up-and-coming retailers. In Summer 2010, they launched their “Quintessential Series” to rave reviews and backorder. It boldly declares itself the best-fitting slim straight denim, and we at Sharp like their hutzpah.<br />
<strong>We like:</strong> PRPS’s Rinse wash jeans. With only 199 manufactured world-wide, they’re going quick. What can we say: we’re suckers for exclusivity.</p>
<p><em><a href="http://www.dutildenim.com" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://www.dutildenim.com']);" target="_blank">DutilDenim.com</a></em></p>
<p><a href="http://www.RodenGray.com" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://www.RodenGray.com']);" target="_blank"><strong>Roden Gray</strong></a><br />
<strong>Where:</strong> Vancouver<br />
<strong>What:</strong> For those in the know, Roden Gray is Monocle magazine’s second-favourite retailer in the world, and for good reason. They have an ever-expanding brand list which includes Wings + Horns, Band of Outsiders and a one-stop grooming section. If that sounds good, rejoice! Roden Gray is moving and expanding in October, into a bi-level monolith of wood, glass and concrete. In the meantime, check out their fully-stocked online store.<br />
<strong>We like:</strong> Roden Gray’s exclusive North American distribution of Uniform Experiment, Sophnet and nonnative. Their C.C Filson thin-strap rucksacks are pretty cool, too.</p>
<p><em><a href="http://www.RodenGray.com" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://www.RodenGray.com']);" target="_blank">RodenGray.com</a></em></p>
<p><a href="http://www.rooneyshop.com" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://www.rooneyshop.com']);" target="_blank"><strong>Rooney</strong></a><br />
<strong>Where:</strong> Montreal<br />
<strong>What:</strong> Saunter on down to the romantic lakeshore of Old Montreal, and you’ll find Rooney. This large unisex retailer offers a trendy selection of North American and European brands for footwear, outerwear and basic staples. Rooney also boasts a good selection of books and magazines, including Whim Quarterly and Fantastic Man.<br />
<strong>We like:</strong> Our Legacy’s soft brown loafers and pretty much everything in the Oliver Spencer collection. Also, Japanese-designed and American-produced brand Monitaly.</p>
<p><em><a href="http://www.rooneyshop.com" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://www.rooneyshop.com']);" target="_blank">RooneyShop.com</a></em></p>
<p><a href="http://www.michelbrisson.com" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://www.michelbrisson.com']);" target="_blank"><strong>Michel Brisson</strong></a><br />
<strong>Where:</strong> Montreal<br />
<strong>What</strong><strong>:</strong> When we spoke to Michel Brisson, he noted the fall/winter 2010 season is a dark one, and his stores are fully stocked with Japanese, Belgian and Italian brands to invoke the mood. Michel Brisson is the exclusive Montreal retailer of brands such as Dries Van Noten and Jil Sander and also offers up a diverse selection of footwear, denim and accessories.<br />
<strong>We like:</strong> Brisson’s eye for avant-garde design, including The Viridi Anne’s brooding fall collection and Faliero Sarti’s luxurious line of cashmere and silk scarves.</p>
<p><em><a href="http://www.michelbrisson.com" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://www.michelbrisson.com']);" target="_blank">MichelBrisson.com</a></em></p>
<p><a href="http://www.boutiqueuandi.com/" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://www.boutiqueuandi.com']);" target="_blank"><strong>Boutique U+I</strong></a><br />
<a href="http://www.boutiqueuandi.com/" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://www.boutiqueuandi.com']);" target="_blank"></a><strong>Where: </strong>Montreal<br />
<strong>Where:</strong> U+I has been filling the void of male-female side-by-side, high-end accoutrements since 1997. Gone are the days of watching your girlfriend flit around a store while you stand in a corner with shoulders hunched. It might come packaged in an old-century building, but the store is chockfull of men and women’s hard-to-find modern brands — the men’s eclectic collection currently features Junya Watanabe alongside Engineered Garments and Acne.<br />
<strong>We like: </strong>Coats by Canadian designer Krane that mix tailored military looks with functional fabric.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.boutiqueuandi.com/" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://www.boutiqueuandi.com']);" target="_blank"><em>BoutiqueUandI.com</em></a></p>
<p><a href="http://www.henrysinger.com" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://www.henrysinger.com']);" target="_blank"><strong>Henry Singer</strong></a><br />
<strong>Where:</strong> Calgary and Edmonton<br />
<strong>What:</strong> Clothing Alberta’s sartorial elite for three generations, Henry Singer was, according to their website, the first to bring major brands like Hugo Boss and Armani Collezioni to Canada. HS is the perfect store for your first/last/next suit, stocking the usual suspects, such as Prada and Hugo Boss, as well as fashion-forward brands like the dapper Lanvin and the understated Etro.<br />
<strong>We Like:</strong> Three words. Made. To. Measure. In true gentlemanly fashion, have a hand in your own sartorial expression by putting together the fabrics and choosing the fit.</p>
<p><em><a href="http://www.henrysinger.com" onclick="javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackEvent','outbound-article','http://www.henrysinger.com']);" target="_blank">HenrySinger.com</a></em></p>
