![Good luck pronouncing any one of their names, though. By Andrew Hunter

What’s better than watching world-class tennis with a few buddies and a cold one? World-class tennis being played by ridiculously beautiful women.

Now that we have confessed our guilty pleasure of watching women’s professional tennis, we thought it only fitting to bring a related event to every Sharp man’s attention. Smart phone calendars at the ready, gentlemen, because the Rogers Cup presented by National Bank is coming to the Rexall Centre at York University and along with it throngs of gorgeous women whose names you will not be able to pronounce. You probably saw one or two of them featured in Sports Illustrated frolicking on the beach and/or rolling around in a pile of pink tennis balls.

August 6-14 will see the WTA’s finest duke it out for the prestigious Rogers Cup title. Actually, in an ambitious move spearheaded by Tennis Canada, the ATP event for the dudes happening in Montreal will for the first time be staged during the same week as the ladies’. Trippy, right? The 56-player draws in each city will feature the tennis world’s elite. Toronto will be hosting the top 25 women and, simultaneously, Montreal’s Uniprix Stadium will be hosting the top 30 men. This means a total gong show for sports networks across Canada.

Getting back to the ladies. We thought it would be fun to throw together a gallery of the most Sharp tennis chicks who we think will do damage on Canadian soil come August. The great thing about women’s tennis is that it is all but impossible to predict the outcome of any given tournament because it has become so competitive (as well as aesthetically appealing). So, naturally, here are our predictions of which lovely lady will take the Rogers Cup title in the T.O. in a few weeks based on our own knowledge and appreciation of women’s sport. Or something like that. Enjoy.
